Endometrial Ablation150

Endometrial Ablation

Novasure™ endometrial ablation uses radiofrequency energy to destroy the lining of the uterus resulting in over 90% success at reducing or eliminating heavy or abnormal bleeding. The procedure is done with minimal sedation and local anesthesia in the comfort of the office and allows for fast recovery and a quick return to normal activities.

Sterilization ProcedurePermanent Birth Control

The Essure™ procedure offers permanent birth control performed right in the office. Through the hysteroscope, microinserts are placed directly into the fallopian tubes, which allows tissue to grow over and block the tubes during the 3 months following the procedure. The recovery is short, there are no hormones, no general anesthesia, and no scars. Patients can return to their normal activities almost immediately. Patients are counseled to continue using another form of birth control until a type of xray called a Hysterosalpingogram is performed 3 months later to confirm that the tubes are blocked.

LEEP Cone BiopsyLEEP Cone Biopsy

The Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure or “LEEP” is used to remove the abnormal cells from your cervix. This procedure removes the diseased tissue and cauterizes the bleeding at the same time. It is used to treat cervical dysplasia or “pre-cancer” of the cervix. The procedure takes about 10 minutes and is also perfomed in the comforts of the office setting.

Office hysteroscopy allows immediate visualization of the uterine cavity and endocervical canal by using a very small camera to look inside. This procedure aids in the diagnosis of abnormal uterine bleeding and causes of infertility. Office hysteroscopy has essentially replaced the need for D&C in the operating room by using modern technology to diagnose and treat various conditions right in the office.
